Elecon Engineering Company Ltd is Asia’s largest manufacturer of industrial transmissions. Established in 1951, the company went on to pioneer the manufacture of material handling equipment in India. During the last five decades, Elecon has designed and implemented several landmark projects in India and around the world.

From a modest start in the design and manufacture of elevators and conveyors, from which the company derives its name, Elecon has grown to service a broad range of industry sectors, such as Fertilisers, Cement, Coal/Power Generation, Chemicals, Steel Plant and Port Mechanisation.

Elecon Engineering is now looking to explore new geographical markets – especially in the western hemisphere. With the Radicon and Benzlers deal - the company’s first international acquisition - Elecon Engineering takes an important step towards globalising their offering and extending their market reach to North America and Europe.
